Fall 2017 – Harvest is fast approaching! The grapes are looking very good, the hot dry summer has produced a bountiful crop and the cool nights and warm days are sweetening them up superbly. We are looking forward to calling our stalwart community volunteers near the end of September for the picking parties and harvest meals. The harvesting is done in three stages, Siegerrebe first as they ripen very early, then Ortega, then the Marechal Foch.

Summer 2017 – The Home and Garden Tour was a great success with over 800 people visiting our farm. June is a great time to showcase our vineyard and landscaping.

Relax among friends in our picnic areas, wander the vineyard, enjoy the music. Lots of parking at the vineyard, please no dogs.

July 31st 2016 – Taste of Denman festival: Look for Corlan Vineyard and Farms offering at 5pm! This Greek plate will feature dolmades made with our own grape leaves as well as an array of dishes featuring local produce. See you there!

September 27, 2015 – The tally is in, 2015’s harvest was a roaring success with just over 6.6 tons picked by our wonderful community and dear friends. In just 2 days of picking we harvested both our Ortega crop which came in at just over 4 tons and the Marechal Foch at 2.67 tons. We are so pleased to have almost doubled our numbers from last year and to see such healthy fruit. We had harvested our Siegerrebe grapes earlier and were also very happy with that delicious crop.

We were blessed with beautiful autumn weather for both harvests which must have encouraged  our wonderful pickers to continue into the afternoon and get all our Ortega grapes picked in just one day! Everyone working at the crush pad impressed us with their stamina and we got all of our grapes de-stemmed and the majority pressed and into tanks that same day. The recent expansion of our crush pad made the whole process much easier and we were grateful for every hand that helped the pressing go so smoothly.

A huge thank you to everyone for working so hard and we hope to see you all again next year!

September 20, 2015 – Harvesting is starting early this year; we begin the Ortega gathering tomorrow, kick-off 10 AM with big harvest meal to follow. This is a big pick and a longish day as the pressing also takes place after the crushing, de-stemming. Very exciting for us here at the vineyard. The Siegerrebe was picked last Tuesday and is perking away in the cooler, smelling very good.
